Trainee at Höegh Evi
HLNG’s history of innovative and new solutions dates back more than 50 years when the LNG carrier Norman Lady was ordered in 1969 as the first Moss type LNG tanker. Building on our history as pioneers and innovators we are working to implement carbon reduction technology and clean energy solutions. Together with clients and partners we are developing solutions utilising our expertise in marine gas handling technology and applying them to infrastructure solutions for clean, carbon-free energy. Currently, this includes floating ammonia terminal solutions, ammonia to hydrogen, blue hydrogen production and CCS solutions.
In cooperation with the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, we are offering an 18-month Trainee program starting August 2025.
The Trainee will join the Clean Energy department of Höegh Evi and participate in the development of new opportunities including liaising with partners and customers, bid preparations, contract negotiations and establishment of operations in new geographical locations.
In the Trainee period you will also have the opportunity to spend time on board our vessels, visit our operations worldwide, and have an extended period in one of our overseas offices to learn about the business, our organization, processes and tools.
You will be based in our Clean Energy department, however you will also rotate to work in other departments such as project execution, operations, technical management and finance to ensure a robust commercial and technical training by end of the trainee period.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree from Technical, Business, Economics or Legal
- Proficiency in English.
